COVID-19: Lallemand Health Solutions has a continuity plan in place
With the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic, Lallemand Health Solutions (LHS) further deployed additional measures to its initial contingency plan, to ensure employees and operations safety, as well as business continuity.
“In these times of adversity, it is our duty to continue producing highest quality probiotics for the health benefits of consumers. These will continue to be inspected and certified with most strict quality control applied throughout the entire manufacturing operations. This is our humble contribution to the fight of COVID-19 pandemic”, states Jérôme Panes, President and General Manager at Lallemand Health Solutions.
General Additional Preventive Measures. In addition to its standard strict hygiene procedures which have always been in place in its cGMP facilities, LHS follows new recommendations from global and local authorities of all countries and implements adequate preventive measures. These measures include 14-days mandatory quarantine for all employees returning from a personal or a business trip, reinforced vigilant employee hygiene, hand washing, cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing of surfaces and equipment.
Teamwork and Operations Continuity. To help slow down the spread of COVID-19 and minimize the risks of contamination, LHS production and laboratories employees are limiting interactions with each other’s in production and in non-production areas. Also, administration employees are working from home using approved work-from-home technologies and company private secured network resources. Business trips and gathering have been postponed until further notice and employees are using telecommunications applications to connect and drive meetings remotely, to ensure smooth running of administrative operations whilst avoiding direct contact.
Security of Supply Chain. Dedicated teams and provisions to employee backups have been detailed to ensure continuity of critical activities. Risk assessments have been prepared to ensure availability of teams and raw material. A contingency plan is in place to ensure continuous operations in the production plants in order to meet previously agreed lead-times. LHS has secured additional inventory, covering a safety stock to prevent and avoid production disruption.
Based on its contingency plan, LHS expect to minimize the impact, guarantee business continuity and meet clients’ needs. Managing teams are monitoring the situation closely and will communicate any changes to their employees and clients. They are prepared to adapt plans as the situation evolves and are doing everything possible to minimize business disruption.
LHS team is mobilized to deliver probiotics meeting unwavering quality standards clients have always trust.
