Lallemand Health Solutions Welcomes Biotechnology Students from Collège Ahuntsic for a Tour of Its Facilities

Etudiant Lallemand

Mirabel, Canada, November 11, 2024 – Lallemand Health Solutions recently welcomed about 60 students from the biotechnology program at Collège Ahuntsic in Montreal to its facilities in Mirabel. This event allowed students to discover this family-owned company, founded in Montreal over 100 years ago and now a global leader in microbial fermentation.

The students had the opportunity to tour the probiotic manufacturing plant and the quality control laboratory. They also interacted with employees, including three former students of Collège Ahuntsic: Marie-Eve Poirier (15 years with the company), Myriam Mongeon-Guindon (9 years with the company), and Guillaume-Alexandre de Longue Épée (8 years with the company). These alumni shared their varied and enriching career paths at Lallemand, demonstrating that it is possible to progress and evolve without changing employers.

The alumni addressed a message to the visitors: “Some teachers may seem demanding, but they are the ones who will help you become rigorous professionals, as required by the industry. Have confidence in your abilities, stay open, curious, and cultivate your desire to learn. New knowledge is acquired throughout your professional life, not just in college!”

The students appreciated the variety of activities offered during this visit and left confident that their college education would provide them with the skills necessary to succeed in the dynamic biotechnology industry.

Growing rapidly, Lallemand Health Solutions is looking for passionate employees to fill several positions in production, administration, and laboratories.
