Saint-Simon Production Plant Receives “Choose Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes 2026” Award

Mirabel, Canada, June 1st, 2026 – The regional dynamism of the Saint‑Simon production plant, one of Lallemand’s flagship industrial sites, was recognized during the General Assembly of Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes Entreprises, held on April 30 in Lyon.

Presented by Laurent Wauquiez, Member of the French National Assembly, and Florent Menegaux, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Michelin, the “Choose Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes 2026” trophy was awarded to Eric Medal, Site Manager for Lallemand Health Solutions, the business unit to which the Saint‑Simon industrial site belongs.

“We are pleased to be able to rely on the support of Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes Entreprises, which recognizes the dynamism of our site in the region through this meaningful award. While reaffirming our ambition to remain one of the global leaders in probiotics across our strategic markets, we are fully committed to playing a key role in strengthening the local economy,” said Mr. Medal upon receiving the award.

Earlier this year, the Saint‑Simon site received €1.5 million in financial support from the Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes Region, in collaboration with Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes Entreprises. This support is intended to foster the deployment of an ambitious expansion project, including the creation of a new formulation and blending area, the development of a new encapsulation line, as well as other structuring initiatives designed to support the growth of the company’s probiotic activities.
