Having IMPACTT 2022: The Rosell® Institute for Microbiome and Probiotics Renews Its Platinum Sponsorship
The Rosell® Institute for Microbiome and Probiotics by Lallemand reconducts its platinum sponsorship of the Canadian microbiome symposium, Having IMPACTT, for a second year in a row.
Having IMPACTT 2: Advancing Microbiome Research will take place June 2 and 3, 2022, in person, at the Malcolm Hotel in Canmore, Canada. There, microbiome scientists from across Canada and around the world will gather to highlight what’s new in microbiome research. The organizers, the Integrated Microbiome Platforms for Advancing Causation Testing and Translation (IMPACTT) and the International Microbiome Centre (IMC), both based at the University of Calgary, have built a program that will be of interest to researchers, clinicians, and trainees.
Reuniting over 15 renowned speakers, the themes that will be covered in this symposium include microbiome impacts in pregnancy, infancy, and throughout life in both health and chronic diseases, such as cancer, inflammation, and autoimmunity. Additionally, current challenges and cutting-edge techniques in microbiome and multi-omics analysis will be discussed.
“The importance of human microbiome research is rapidly gaining momentum for understanding its role in human health and disease. Our goal for this symposium is to bring together the leading minds in microbiome research and highlight the emerging microbiome teams from across Canada,” explains Kathy McCoy, PhD, IMPACTT Director and Professor in the Dept. of Physiology and Pharmacology, as well Scientific Director of the IMC at the University of Calgary.
“We are happy to have the opportunity to sponsor this event as we greatly wish to encourage Canadian initiatives in this area,” adds Stéphane Bronner, Research Director at the Rosell® Institute.
The Rosell® Institute and the University of Calgary both share the same passion and values of research excellence and innovation. We look forward to hosting you in person! Registrations here.
IMPACTT is the cross-disciplinary Canadian Microbiome Research core funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to move Canada’s microbiome research from causation testing to translational studies and reinforce Canada’s position as an international leader in microbiome research. The IMPACTT core offers technological and analytical expertise to microbiome researchers by giving them access to multi-disciplinary world-class facilities across Canada. The IMPACTT consortium supports microbiome researchers to harness the power of our microbes, and help identify novel therapeutics and approaches that will improve human health.
